Where do I start? Lauren and Hillary’s wedding weekend was one for the books. From the love and emotion of their closest friends and family to every unique detail, this wedding was not just a day of vows but a day of celebration, smiles, tears, intimate moments and love.
I absolutely love the Florida Keys, so going down for a destination wedding is always my favorite. I was joined by the lovely and amazingly talented Kim from The Big Day Photography. The weekend started off Friday with some fun pre-wedding photos over at the Cheeca resort. Then we headed over to Island Grill for the perfect welcome party full of dancing, great food and even a little Limbo Time!
Saturday 2.6.16
The weather forecast called for some major Florida storms, but the weather gods were looking down on us and held the rain off until later into the reception. The day was gorgeous with soft clouds, allowing us to shoot all over the property even in the middle of the day (always a photographers dream). I love when brides give me lots of time for portraits, it creates a fun and relaxing time during the process and we are able to get so many images in different areas. So thank you Lauren and Hillary for rocking! We started off with their sweet first look and some bridal party photos. Then, it was ceremony time. A family friend was their officiant, who also married Lauren’s brother. It was such an intimate ceremony and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd. Following the ceremony, we whisked Lauren and Hillary away for some beautiful portraits, my favorite time of a wedding day.
Lauren and Hillary brought together a DREAM TEAM of wedding day vendors. I’ve never seen a more beautiful ceremony and reception. The details were Hawaiian inspired with a touch of vintage. From the florals to the cake, it was picture perfect. Oh and I forgot to mention the CUTEST flower girl EVER, Noa.
Get ready for a long one folks, I had WAY to many favorites I just had to share. Congratulations again Lauren + Hillary! Thanks for allowing me to be apart of your big day #alohahilla
