Prep yourself for a long one filled with tons of GORGEOUS images! I am very excited to share this beautiful occasion.

When Cassy called me to ask if I would join them in Jamaica to capture their beautiful destination wedding, I smiled, jumped up and down and got my passport ready! I absolutely love traveling with my couples to photograph their special day in such a beautiful and unique location. I obviously love destination weddings for obvious reasons, the experience, the travel, the beaches, the scene… but I also love them because I really have the opportunity to really get to know my couples families and friends.

Cassy and Erik now live in Florida, but with Cassy being from California and Erik from New York, their friends and family traveled from across the country to head to Jamaica to celebrate their love. A few days before we traveled I met up with Cassy and Erik, here in North Palm Beach FL so that they could say their vows and wed amongst their immediate families. It was absolutely beautiful …..

Then it was off to Jamaica! I have to say this was the most stress free wedding I’ve shot in awhile. I had plenty of time, no pressure and beautiful weather. A couple storm clouds kept creeping from the mountains to the beach, but it just left us with a nice overcast breeze to break up the tropical heat. It was perfect! My husband Mike was such a trooper. He helped me throughout the day and I am so thankful he was there. I couldn’t have done it without him and I have to say I was pretty impressed by some of the images he captured <3

Day one started with a beautiful welcome party under the stars filled with cocktails, music and a bonfire on the beach…….

Day two in Jamaica was absolutely beautiful. I met up with Cassy and Erik shortly before their rehearsal and we got some really pretty sunset photos of the two of them.

Then………….. WEDDING DAY!!! Cassy and Erik were married at the beautiful resort, the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. Along with myself, Cassy and Erik flew in their DJ, Mike Riker, who kept the party going all night! He was amazing to work with. 

Off to get WED……….

Then my favorite part….Bridal Party and Bride and Groom Portraits. The sky and weather was absolutely a dream. I loved the girls ombre purple dresses. They totally rocked it! Beautiful!

This next moment was captured when the DJ announced the surprise song Erik had chosen for their first dance. See Cassy was in charge of the song they walked down the aisle too and Erik the first dance, as a surprise to each other. Guess What?! They chose the SAME song! It was a super sweet moment.

Cassy’s mom presented the couple with a traditional Hawaiian marriage dance. It was such a beautiful dance, and tears filled the air. 

The night truly ended with Cassy and Erik sharing a kiss above the pool & then diving in for a little “trash the dress” the night of the wedding! Such a fun way to end the night, especially to cool off from that tropical heat!
