Urban Vintage has officially launched! My amazing sister in law, Anna, and her partner in design and style, Lauren, are the fabulous duo behind this new venture. Check out the interview I had with these ladies below to learn all about them!

Tell me a little bit about your company?

Urban Vintage was founded by both of us, Lauren and Anna, in Tequesta, Florida out of a passion for funky vintage glam design. Whether planning a wedding, styled shoot, a party, or corporate event, we can provide you with vintage pieces and styling.  And thanks to our insatiable obsession, our collection is growing by the day.

What are your favorite things? What makes you happy?

Lauren: Sourcing for our growing collection at Urban Vintage. Living in the beautiful town of Tequesta. Spending time with friends/family. Being outside on a sunny day, CrossFit, coffee, music. Movies I grew up watching always make me happy.

Anna: Pretty much the same as Lauren, but I can’t sit still long enough to watch a movie (much to the annoyance of my husband). I love being able to take my almost 5-month-old daughter places and show her new things and new experiences. I love being in or on the water, spending time in the woods, spending time in the Word, a good WOD, a good cup of coffee, and a good glass of wine, a sweet thrifted find. Being organized and working to see our little business grow!

What inspires you both?

Inspiration for us can come from everywhere… a vintage dress, a book, song, color, set of old china, one throw pillow or funky piece of furniture, or visiting a friend’s house who is a killer decorator is always inspiring. We actually pull a lot of inspiration from each other – one of us has an idea and we roll with it until it becomes a space we want to sit in with friends and drink wine. Or just stare at and smile.

How would you define your style?

A little bit vintage, a little bit industrial, and love us some mid century modern. Our style merges organic elements with both modern and vintage aspects of design. We enjoy pretty things as much as any girl, but we also love to incorporate unexpected, offbeat elements into our spaces.

How would you describe your individual styles?

Lauren: Vintage. Eclectic. Unique. I have always loved novelty prints and and floral patterns and love mixing things together. Oh and tulle anything.

Anna: Lauren forgot to add Lululemon. We both may have a tiny Lulu shopping problem. For me, something cute that I can still get spit-up on and be cool with it. 

Describe your dream wedding/event?

A huge (air conditioned), blank warehouse space with concrete floors, white walls, wood beam ceilings and maybe a fireplace or two, on the river so we have the freedom to turn it into something amazing. Working with a bride who has a great vision of her big day! I also think creating spaces for corporate events for any up and coming businesses would be fun!

If you could work with any celebrity on their wedding who would it be?

Damon and Elena. Anna may or may not like teenage vampire dramas too much
